Our take

Carbon credits, that were once seen as a viable tool on the path to Net Zero, have rapidly fallen out of favour under allegations of green washing. Revalue Nature is a company hoping to return trust to the concept of carbon credits, by assessing the value of carbon projects throughout their development and thus creating valuable nature-based carbon credits for the market.

The company does this by employing machine learning algorithms that are trained on data uniquely available to Revalue, meaning its results cannot be found anywhere else. Its analysis combines Earth Observation with data from drones, fields tests and the like to get a full picture of project development and impact.

With this robust approach, Revalue Nature may have found the way to make carbon credits a powerful tool in the fight against climate change. In 2023, it raised considerable funds led by Ecosystem Integrity Fund (EIF) and SJF Ventures, which will allow it to grow its partnerships and pipeline of projects, as well as improve its platform capabilities.
