Our take
Rewind AI is a software company that builds software products to help remember and record. Founded in 2020, Rewind AI aim to do for memory, what hearing aids do for deafness.
In March 2020, Rewind AI’s first product Scribe drew 30,000 users, indicating that its memory and recording tools had a real place in the market. Scribe helps and makes shareable information from meetings using AI technology and feedback. Insights from Scribe helped Rewind build their next product.
Whilst Rewind’s search engine is yet to be made public, VC of $16 million in June 2023 will help the company expand its team and reach new clients. Its unconventional pitching method - making its pitch deck public and letting investors pitch to them - has only helped Rewind AI, the founder of which turned down unicorn status for a more long-term offer from New Enterprise Associates. The unconventional funding strategy also strengthened trust with customers and has led to a boom in publicity for Rewind's founder Dan Siroker.
