To get robots into production faster, by getting AI to do the dirty work.
Modern robots take inputs from a vast amount of systems - cameras, internal batteries, radars, thermal sensors to name just a tiny fraction of these, and this data isn't often readily available to designers, leaving them to build almost blind and hack together solutions on the fly during the prototyping process. Roboto AI exists to give builders the data tools they need, ingesting, standardising and cleaning it to make it readily searchable and usable for designers working on autonomous systems.
While robotics is an enormous business and growing (estimated to be worth $260 Billion globally by 2030), there is not much competition at the data end of the space, and Roboto AI is moving swiftly to build a solid market lead. Spun out of the Allen Institute for AI and led by founders with experience in working on data initiatives at Amazon Robotics, the company has swiftly gained the confidence of selected testing partners as it works towards a general release.
Having recently closed a seed funding round and come out of stealth, Roboto is aiming to further develop its product and increase its talent pool, rounding out its founding team. With a strong solution to a pressing issue and a strong founding team, the company seems set to become a key part of the robotics design pipeline in the near future.
