SciSports uses data intelligence to understand football, with the goal of improving the game on the pitch and enriching the experience of billions of fans around the globe.
With tech innovations in the form of VAR in-play, football has seen a revolution in the way technology and software can help enhance the sport. Whilst on-pitch tools improve the viewing experience, off-pitch tools can facilitate the onboarding, performance analytics, and management of a club/team. SciSports is a digital tool for football companies that assists in many of these off-pitch and post-match areas, helping clubs recruit new players and analysing performance from matches.
Selected by the European Union as one of the next potential European Unicorns, SciSports still has a way to go yet. The company is making progress through partnerships with the likes of Sheffield United and the Dutch National Football Team.
Football is one of the highest-grossing sports in the world, and so there is considerably market opportunity for SciSports. Yet, with plenty of sports AI competitors, they will need to focus on product development and scaling their solutions to set themselves apart in the space.
