To connect, support, and empower healthcare professionals in changing their industry all over the world.
-2% employee growth in 12 months
Gone are the days of pagers and fax machines - communication methods in hospitals are undergoing a welcome digital transformation period. However, the adoption of digital messaging solutions like WhatsApp has brought along with it the familiar data privacy pitfalls. With data regulations especially strict in healthcare settings, too, the market for compliant messaging apps for the healthcare industry is growing. Siilo’s end-to-end encrypted messaging platform for medical professionals is hoping to meet it.
Siilo is one of the stronger players the European market, with over 120,000 active users, but they may have to watch their back in a very narrow niche. In the UK, communication app Pando offers a similar spread of features; and the more pared-pack offering from Halo Health was acquired by the remarkably well-funded symplr, which may give this competitor a leg-up in product development.
So whilst Siilo is gaining traction in Europe, the market is very much still to play for. With the appetite for secure healthcare communications high, the relatively modest Siilo may face problems if one of the deep-pocketed major healthcare players decides to throw their hat into the ring.
