To extend the period of independence, control, and dignity that those living with dementia deserve, while simultaneously keeping caregivers informed, confident, and prepared for the changing needs of their loved ones.
Dementia affects more than 55 million people worldwide. It is a source of distress not only for those living with the condition, but also for the millions more who care for them. Simon is here to change the face of dementia care with its mobile app for those with dementia, and their care partners.
Its core purpose is to extend how long people can remain independent and in control of their lives, while alleviating some of the worry for their loved ones. Features include live location tracking and alerts that are triggered by abnormal activity, as well as a shared calendar that coordinates care partners, healthcare professionals and family members.
The app is powered by behaviour recognition and machine learning, meaning it can deliver hyper-personalised support depending on a person's unique habits. Its a valuable proposition for a multitude of reasons, and one we are excited to see develop further.
