Having started in 1872, Simplyhealth has existed before national healthcare. At a time of huge strain on the NHS, Simplyhealth's focus on making medical care accessible to the many has therefore been in great demand.

The UK health and medical insurance market is set to register a CAGR of 4.56%, during the forecast period (2024-2029) showing plenty of opportunity in the space. Simplyhealth does have a large pool of top competitors though, including companies such as PT Astra Aviva Life, Axa UK PLC, Bupa Insurance Ltd, Prudential PLC, and Western Provident Association.

Despite competition, Simplyhealth remains an award winning healthcare company. Recent awards include Health Insurance Innovation: Finder Awards 2021.
