Our take

Education and government policies have recently resulted in a rise in Americans seeking sustainable energy solutions for their homes and businesses, with solar energy presenting itself as one of the key solutions. However, not every property is suitable for solar paneling and it can be expensive, making it difficult and unaffordable to make the switch from fossil fuels.

Solstice connects American homeowners, renters, and businesses with local solar energy gardens, helping to reduce the cost of solar farming hardware and increase migration to renewable energy. Enrolling in the service gains customers a share of panels at nearby solar farms, providing them with the necessary credit to reduce the cost of their electric bills.

Whilst the company certainly faces competition from direct-to-customer solar panel companies, Solstice has taken a smart approach by recognizing that many Americans cannot access solar due to a lack of credit, helping them to earn this by directly connecting them with a portion of a local solar farm.
