To help dev teams run faster, more engaging standups.
Spinach.io was founded after its CEO noticed that engineering teams had specific needs for online meetings that other teams did not. The company built a meeting tool designed specifically for agile engineers running stand-up meetings online.
This engineer-specific type of meeting, the stand-up meeting, is a daily check in that engineers start each day with. The company has focused in on this and has partnered with Slack, Jira, and other tools in order to bring a level of automation to the software. Jira will automatically pull in the goals from the previous days and those the team need to work towards, whilst Slack moves information around in the communications channels.
In addition to backing from Y Combinator, the same funding body who provided investment and strategic support to companies like Monzo, Stripe and Airbnb during their early days, Spinach has been backed by Zoom, Tuesday Capital and Maven Ventures. This support will further develop the tool's capabilities to ultimately run better online meetings.
