Our take

Summus provides personalized health advice and connects patients with medical experts virtually. The company is part of the growing telehealth market, which is expected to be worth $197.5 billion globally by 2028.

Virtual care solutions have become heavily adopted in recent years, with the vast majority of physicians in the US now treating patients virtually. Summus hopes to take advantage of this burgeoning market, but also faces competition from the likes of Docly, Smart Doctor, and Maple.

As the healthcare provider continues to expand its operations, it has secured its position with acquisitions and partnerships, as well as raising over $40 million in funding. The telehealth marker it still developing, meaning Summus is well-placed to further strengthen its presence and build upon its already established success.
