Our take

Clinical trials are getting more complex, while sponsors, sites and patients are under growing pressure to move faster. Too often, that means juggling disconnected systems, manual processes and mountains of information. The market is increasingly looking to technology (particularly AI and automation) to take some of that weight off teams without compromising the controls needed in a highly regulated industry.

So, Suvoda provides technology for running clinical trials, covering areas such as randomisation and trial supply management, patient engagement, and clinical trial budgeting and payments. Its latest push into AI includes Sofia, a conversational assistant that helps teams find study-specific information, and AI agents designed to automate parts of trial setup, testing and protocol changes. Its Budgeting & Benchmarking platform also aims to bring complex site budgets and multi-payee arrangements into one controlled workflow.

The platform has supported more than 6,000 trials across 115+ countries, and its recent innovations have picked up two 2026 PM360 Innovation Awards. On top of this, its recent merger with Greenphire also broadens its reach into clinical trial financial management and patient support.
