To help hospitals and patients communicate with each other.
40% employee growth in 12 months
Patients in the United States often struggle to access healthcare services, having to navigate multiple call transfers, long hold times, and endless webpages to get through to healthcare providers. Syllable is a company using artificial intelligence to help alleviate this problem.
It offers conversational automatic assistance to guide patients in the right direction, whether they use phone calls, websites, or SMS messaging. In addition to making healthcare access easier for the patient, Syllable aims to help healthcare providers reduce their call-center costs, and is used by large health systems including NewYork-Presbyterian, Geisinger, Houston Methodist, and Northwell Health.
Recent funding led by growth equity firm TCV will be used to develop the company's central product, the Syllable Patient Assistant, which connects patients through the phone, SMS, or online to provide rapid care services. Further, as healthcare services experience busier operations post-pandemic, more medical offices are tapping into Syllable's convenient platform.
