Sylvera is a modern company that values trust in its employees and has flexible arrangements. People work from all over the world, there is half day Fridays, social budgets (including for online events).. etc!

Finishing early on Fridays and having unlimited annual leave allows me to manage when and where I work, with limited requirement to travel to the office. I hit my deliverables whilst maintaining the best work-life balance in my career to-date.

Carbon markets are such a critical tool to prevent/mitigate the impact of climate change on the planet and communities around the world! Enabling high-quality climate action at scale is one of the most intellectually challenging problems today as it covers data & tech to regulation & behavior change.

Sylvera is a rocket ship. We have grown so fast over the past two years, both building out existing teams and expanding into new areas that enable us to have the most impact possible. My day-to-day activities have changed from quarter to quarter and there are a constant stream of new opportunities to work on!

Sylvera is driving positive change within international carbon markets through the vehicle of ratings for carbon credits. This empowers buyers of carbon credits to choose the best credits - incentivising the development of good, impactful projects and while mitigating the supply of poor quality credits to the market. All this is done using technology on the bleeding edge of Earth Observation and hard work from incredibly intelligent people.

Working at Sylvera you get to interact with incredibly varied and intelligent people on a day to day basis. This means you learn and develop rapidly with a broad knowledge of the market, how we interact with it and how we deliver useful and meaningful ratings of carbon offsetting projects.

Sylvera is a wonderful place to work for many reasons - one of them are the various perks. Remote working is normal - enabling you to be flexible on your location. We get unlimited holiday and are encouraged to use it. Learning and development budgets are there to be used to develop your personal skills. Another angle to this is how dynamic and flexible the structure of the company is. It allows people to learn where they might fit best and move laterally within the business accordingly.

I've met so many nice people at Sylvera and the new hires are equally lovely. It really makes a difference going to the office or being on a video call when you know that the diverse team around you are all really kind and supportive.

The main perk is unlimited holiday and incentives to take it. This means that as long as you get your work done, you don't have to worry about taking the odd day for leave here or a morning off for travelling there. We also finish at 2pm on Fridays and have the Christmas to New Year period off for free, which means more time with family and friends. This is something that Sylvera clearly cares about.

Sylvera's mission was the first thing that attracted me to the company. Everyone here cares about making an impact and trying to achieve Net Zero and it shows. Every piece of work you do or project you help out with means that we can get closer to the mission.
