Tab's mission is to revolutionise the experience of independent travel – by helping travellers make the most of their precious time abroad, and giving local tourism operators the vital tools they need to run their business.
Our take
Tab enables tourist businesses to get more direct bookings, and take payments easily. "The Guide" helps travellers find businesses, with suggestions from friends & local experts. The company then also provide a payments service for businesses which means they can easily accept international payments in advance and in-person, with free payouts direct to bank accounts in any currency.
The founders are experienced and backed by Y Combinator. Over 50,000 tourism businesses are using the Tab platform, with 1 million travellers also using Tab before or during their trip.
