To transform brain cancer treatment and care for all patients, by delivering a collaborative national portfolio of eight innovative programmes in the areas of research, trials, training and patients with digital platforms, data and people.
Brain cancer accounts for millions of deaths worldwide every year, and cases are on the rise. The Tessa Jowell Brain Cancer Mission is tackling this problem by delivering brain tumour treatment programmes and research.
The Mission is named after former British politician and brain cancer awareness campaigner Tessa Jowell. The company has benefited greatly from its high profile and strong connections, with both researchers and the media. Prominent supporters include David Beckham.
The Mission's breadth of programmes and research focuses has allowed it to make a real impact in the UK. Securing further support and funding will allow the trust to maintain and build this impact.
