The Base's mission is to create unique co-living spaces all over the world that empower togetherness.
Our take
Finding a new apartment or workspace is a stressful process, particularly when relocating to an urban area. In addition to adjusting to new surroundings, movers must deal with additional challenges such as purchasing furniture, making friends, and locating community events, a process that can become overwhelming and expensive.
The Base provides co-living and co-working spaces that include everything a renter will need, coming fully furnished, including facilities such as gyms and libraries, community events, and cleaning services. The short and long-term rental spaces are currently available in Berlin, but the company plans to expand to Munich, Frankfurt, Lisbon, Hamburg, and Warsaw in the near future.
Whilst many student apartment buildings aim to ease move-ins by providing fully furnished spaces with access to all essential facilities, The Base has taken this approach a step further by focussing on helping everyone, not just students. By also providing community events and focussing on co-living and co-work facilities, the company demonstrates great potential to lead a new generation of social accommodation.
