Company mission

The Economist Foundation's mission is to empower young people to have high-quality discussions about current affairs.

Our take

The Economist Educational Foundation is a charity established by the Economist newspaper that aims to facilitate discussions about current affairs among young people. The Economist Educational Foundation sets out to be objective in presenting young people with balanced arguments in order to encourage them to develop critical thinking.

The charity provides teachers with resources and training whilst also empowering young people with access to an online platform. This enables them to join discussions with peers from around the world.

The charity counts Allen & Overy, Bank of England, British Council, Facebook, KPMG, Clifford Chance, and Unilever among its supporters. They aspire to make an impact on as many young people as possible, thus their most recent initiative is the launch of Topical Talk - their attempt to reach global audiences by providing communities with the most advanced and affordable program they have designed upto now.
