To build more sustainable cities with convenient and reliable transit for all.
Urban transit has developed drastically over the last couple of decades. On-demand ride hailing has ballooned, and huge infrastructure for these companies has been laid over the top cities’ pre-existing public transport network. However, these two modes of transport are largely disconnected. That’s where The Routing Company comes in, handing over the reins of ride-sharing technology to public transit authorities.
The Routing Company’s ‘Pingo’ platform allows users to plan journeys that incorporate both ride-hailing and public transport, with rides factored into its platform so that you’ll always be in in time for your connection. It integrates previously distinct transport networks, as well as providing intelligent routing algorithms based on research from MIT and an overarching OS platform for internal monitoring and booking.
There’s plenty of software within the urban mobility sector, but The Routing Company sets itself apart with its focus on public infrastructure integration, and decision to work with existing transit authorities, rather than trying to undermine them.
