Our take
Ticknovate was formed as a result of a transformation project for City Cruises. City Cruises wanted its customers to spend more. They had 4 million customers every year, but poor revenue optimisation from their current ticketing solution.
After being born from this client engagement, Ticknovate created an award-winning, feature-rich ticketing solution. Prioritising extensive capabilities for its target industries of tours, ferries, and transportation has been pivotal to its success.
The startup will focus next on expanding into other European markets from its stronghold in the U.K. and the Nordics.
Its greatest threat is a platform one. Google, Facebook or even Amazon may launch their own ticketing solutions, however that doesn’t seem to be a focus for the tech giants at this stage.
