Our take

Founded in 2015, Toucan has built a sterling reputation as specialists in “data storytelling” i.e. communicating contextualised insights from datasets. The company’s focus on user experience, context and design allows users to be more data-driven, even without training in the area.

The company's growth thus far has been remarkable, bootstrapped until 2019, yet still gaining huge customers including IBM, Intel, John Deere, JP Morgan Chase & Co, Renault, and Heineken.

The data analytics market is becoming ever more competitive, however, and enterprises are demanding more from their Business Intelligence stacks. In a bid to maintain its strong position, Toucan has been steadily expanding its platform’s capabilities to include more sophisticated features such as data preparation, collaboration and embedded analytics capabilities.
