Our take
Training surgeons on specific surgical procedures is expensive and hard. Surgical disease causes more death worldwide than HIV/AIDS, TB and Malaria combined, and could be prevented by safer surgical care. Touch Surgery by Medtronic is the first AI-powered surgical video management and analytics platform for the operating room.
It simplifies the process of recording, analyzing, and sharing surgical videos — providing surgeons with a powerful tool to improve performance and train others. The platform works easily with many laparoscopic and robotic scopes, enabling hospitals to take the first step to digitize operating rooms while leveraging existing equipment.
Its recent partnership with Vizient is allowing the company to build on strong interest it's seeing globally, to support hospitals in the USA that are looking to harness the power of surgical video data and analysis.
