I've found it really refreshing how seriously autonomy is taken at Treefera, both in what you work on and how you do your work. The assumption is that you're serious, dedicated, and curious - then it's up to you how you use your individual skills to contribute to the team.

When I was interviewing for Treefera I didn't entirely believe what I was told about about the level of flexibility and autonomy that I'd have. It sounded too good to be true. But the reality has been exactly as described, I've had almost complete autonomy in deciding how, when, and where I want to work.

It was clear from my first day that Treefera has a special energy. I think a lot of that comes from the founders being serious about developing a distinct culture, and not just following an existing handbook for what a tech startup 'should' look like. There's a good balance of autonomy, dedication, and fun which makes for a great environment to work in.

It takes both solid theoretical knowledge and pragmatism to build a first-class product with limited resources in a start up. Spend too much time on details and you end up missing your goal. Rush to the end and the whole thing will topple. At Treefera we have people who are expert in their area but also take the context into account. They know what good looks like and they can teach you, but they also know what good enough is. The ability to adjust your course of action based on external input to achieve your long term goals, isn't that the definition of intelligence?

You get the ability to work on systems that combine satellite imagery analysis, vector computation, geo data manipulation and AI into complex workflows which produce insights on nature based assets like never before. Pretty cool AND useful 😎

By bringing insights and transparency on nature based assets, we provide a multitude of actors with the mean and reasons to protect nature and invest in it rather than destroy it. We have effectively prevented land owners from cutting down their trees and we will go further! 💚

Joining a company that has just raised $12m is really different from working in an early or bootstrapped company. Everyone is excited and motivated to work and deliver amazing things to our clients. Raising funds also means clients are taking notice which leads to loads of inbounds and big contracts! Really exciting!
