Our take

It is reported that roughly 30% of emissions from road travel can be attributed to trucks carrying freight. This is a significant portion, but in the move to reduce global carbon it has received far less attention than passenger vehicles. This is where TruckLabs comes in, bringing sustainability to trucking with its green logistics technologies.

The company's flagship product is TruckWings, a device that automatically closes the gap between the truck cab and trailer at highway speeds. This reduces drag and, according to the company, saves an impressive 4-6% of fuel, all without the driver having to make any adjustments.

TruckLabs has experienced significant growth in the last several years, and has now surpassed 600 million over-the-road miles of TruckWings use. New funding will be used to accelerate growth and further product development, and the company's recent acquisition by ConMet should help broaden access to the product.
