Founded in 2012, TrustRadius has established a strong reputation as a provider of customer-generated online reviews for business technology and software. Whilst the market for review platforms is crowded, its B2B tech and software focus appears to have helped it carve out and consolidate a strong position in a lucrative niche.
TrustRadius, along with other consumer-generated review platforms, have faced an interesting challenge in recent years. Namely, that whilst positive consumer reviews are becoming an increasingly important factor in purchasing decisions, the integrity of review aggregation platforms has been threatened by bad-faith practices and poor due diligence. TrustRadius appears to be adapting effectively to this new reputational threat: its TRScore algorithm and human vetting processes appears to be fending off criticism, and has recently introduced a system for incentivising companies to commit to transparent compliance with the reviewing process.
This level of adaptive and high-scrutiny safeguarding is appropriate for a company whose business depends on reputational integrity. Certainly it has helped the company define and secure its position as a leading B2B review platform.
