Our take

Social media has taken the world by storm, but many users find that the algorithms used to curate their feeds can push negative and often inflammatory content. Turing Intelligence is building a new social media platform to compete with the likes of X, which, interestingly, makes use of geolocation data to enable users not to "have the whole world on their timeline".

The idea appears to be to create a social media platform that is more culturally friendly to the average user, so users get a more peaceful scrolling experience. It's an appealing idea, but we will have to wait and see how the company brings this to fruition. For now, Turing Intelligence is very much in its early days, and we will certainly be keeping an eye on its development.
