Company mission

To design and manufacture breakthrough electric motors, power electronics and energy storage solutions that optimize performance, reliability, and efficiency in anything that moves.

Our take

The operation of buildings is responsible for 40% of CO2 emissions worldwide, and yet one-third of energy used in commercial buildings is wasted. Turntide develops sustainable technologies, including electric motors, that serve to reduce energy consumption and operating costs.

Turntide are on a path to 100% renewable energy and is proving successful. Its Smart Motor System product has thrice won E+E’s Top Product of the Year Awards given its full-stack, scalable and open system solution that enables the sustainable operations of buildings and electrification of commercial and industrial vehicles, ultimately optimising the world’s use of energy.

Recent investment, led by Canadian Pension Plan Investment Board, will help fund projects to reduce carbon emissions in the commercial buildings, agriculture and transportation industries. This additional capital will accelerate expansion into new markets, notably electrified transport.
