To make pet care affordable and accessible for everyone, while improving the lives and wellbeing of everyone working within the veterinary industry.
Our take
Vet-AI develops tech designed to improve animal wellbeing. Its flagship offering is an app and web platform called Joii Pet Care, which allows pet owners to make 24/7 vet calls, check pet symptoms and behaviour, and purchase products.
The company was created by a pair of long-time veterinarians and a health tech entrepreneur who identified the need for more tech-driven, digital solutions in the industry, which still relies heavily on in-person consultations – even for simple and easily-treated illness and conditions.
Given that around 60% of adults in the UK own a pet, and that veterinary costs are soaring year on year, there’s plenty of scope for success as owners seek more convenient, less costly ways to keep their pets in good health.
Beyond maintaining and increasing the popularity of Joii Pet Care, Vet-AI is aiming to roll out further products, starting with AI tech specifically designed for vet offices.
