Founded in 2012, Virtru is a data protection platform offering data privacy and security solutions to businesses across a broad range of sizes and sectors. The company is a giant in the industry, helping the likes of Verizon, Sequoia, and Netflix manage encryption and privacy of data as it travels across the various SaaS platforms, emails, and ecosystems increasingly used across all sectors.

Part of their success has been the development of the Trusted Data Format, an open security standard for content invented by Virtru founder Will Ackerly. It has been widely adopted, including by the US Intelligence Community and the Department of Defense, and has deepened Virtru’s partnerships with the likes of Google and Microsoft.

With cybersecurity becoming an increasingly high priority across all levels of business and governance, the appetite for easily deployable, high-security solutions is only growing.
