To empower fruit producers by providing per-plant visibility and understanding.
With an increasing need for more robust outcomes from cropland acreage, vision technology manufacturing company Vivid Machines creates hardware and software that makes crop yielding, packaging, and processing more efficient. Using its Vivid-X Vision System, farmers can reduce labor and expand their crop take of marketable fruit, all whilst computing the predicted yield earlier than ever before.
All of these benefits make Vivid Machines an important player in AgriTech, especially when considering the added pressures on farms to use their land efficiently, especially in the production of fruits. Whilst corn and other crops can be monitored via drones and satellites, the shrubbery of fruit trees means that solutions like Vivid Machines are a welcome innovation.
This is exemplified by the large seed investment awarded to Vivid Machines in April 2023. The Canadian company is using its funds to broaden its system applications for use in a wider array of fruit crops. This will help diversify Vivid Machine’s customer base and help it grow at a time when climate change is negatively affecting the global farming industry.
