Our take

The future of transportation is electric, but as more people buy EVs, electric grid systems are challenged by the increase in demand. WeaveGrid solves several of these EV-grid challenges with its software by integrating renewable energy grid resources to actively connect EVs to the grid.

WeaveGrid’s cloud-based software is compatible with all EV chargers and uses machine learning to predict EV charging patterns. This allows customers to enrol in cost saving utilities programs offered by companies like Baltimore Gas & Electric to save money.

WeaveGrid's lead inventor, Coatue, also an investor in Tesla and Rivian, has shown confidence in the company’s potential to accelerate EV adoption by transforming EVs into energy assets. After HSBC provided WeaveGrid with substantial funding in 2024, the company is focussing on strengthening its position in the market and enhancing the EV charging experience.
