Company mission

To onboard the next billion users into web3, starting with NFTs.

Our take

Winter is on a mission to simplify Web3 and NFTs. The company offers an embeddable checkout widget for businesses to sell NFTs through a credit card, essentially enabling their customers to buy NFTs with ease.

The company supports a number of chains, from Ethereum and Polygon to Tezos and Solana, and also offers support anyone who cannot find their chain. Similarly, it promises to help custody and manage a user’s NFT if they don’t have a wallet already. All of this helps make NFT-buying as easy as possible, enabling the company to stand out.

Winter is supported by Y Combinator, being part of its 2022 Summer batch, where companies like Monzo and Stripe made their start. In fact, Winter describes itself as the Stripe for NFTs, and given its founders impressive experience as Product Manager for Facebook, perhaps this company will see similar success.
