Company mission

To deliver safe, everyday flight for everyone.

Our take

Wisk is the developer of the first autonomous electric vertical take-off and landing air taxi. Its 4-passenger vehicles are powered by the company's autonomy platform that leverages decision-making logic software to allow the taxis to operate safely and autonomously.

The team at Wisk has been working on this flagship project since 2010, having developed multiple generations of aircraft and conducted over 1,750 test flights. It is now on its Generation 6 model that boasts improvements to configuration and a larger passenger cabin compared to its predecessors.

In 2023, Wisk became a fully-owned subsidiary of Boeing. It still operates as a separate entity, but this collaboration gives the company access to the air travel giant's development, testing, and certification expertise. On top of this, in 2024 Wisk acquired Verocel, a software verification and validation company, a move which will play a key role in getting its air taxis certified.
