To cut 50% of global fossil fuel based bubble wrap usage by 2030.
Plastic pollution is a global problem, with a reported 2,000 garbage trucks of plastic dumped into the world's oceans, rivers, and lakes every day. Of this plastic, roughly 40% is from single-use packaging - which is why a packaging alternative is so important.
Step in Woola, a company creating packaging made of waste wool that can replace protective plastic packaging such as bubble wrap. Notably, the product has already seen uptake by two houses of the LVMH Group, one of the largest companies in Europe.
As the spotlight on the "plastic problem" increases, there could be a wealth of opportunity for Woola. A €2.5 million injection of funding will enable the company to grow its sales and marketing team, as well as expand its product range for the luxury and eCommerce markets.
