No matter who I sit with for lunch I know I'll have a nice chat. I've always felt comfortable and welcome at after work drinks, there's no pressure to go but a lot of fun if you do! I've met up with work friends on the weekend

There are a bunch of people I can reach out to for help on technical issues, and every time I have, they've been extremely keen to help. We're always exploring new and better ways to tackle issues so we never stop learning

Our detailed PR culture is great to actually revisit and understand what you've done. Other developers often praise what you've done in the PR comments. We're also encouraged to post about our work on slack, and every time we do, colleagues on different teams will receive it with excitement.

Coming from a larger company in the past it is very refreshing to have all of my opinions listened to by all members of the team regardless of seniority. It creates a friendly environment where all members of the team feel they can share their opinions at any time.

The tech team is keen for everyone to get stuck in to all parts of the platform. Knowledge sharing is high priority and no matter your tech background you'll get the opportunity to work on all aspects of the tech stack.

Getting direct feedback on work is really rewarding. When pieces of project work are completed they are often announced with credit to the rest of the company as a whole.

The team I have worked with over the years, have always been friendly, and very generous with their time (especially when I first started as a junior dev). We go out for lunch together, play board-games together, and these things contribute to making YJ a happy and positive place to work.

With all projects, every person who is involved at any level, becomes involved with decisions about the project. Moreover, this is encouraged, and it makes you feel invested in the work that you're completing. There are also lots of structural things in place to make sure all voices are heard - weekly one-to-one catch-ups with line managers, monthly retrospectives where we can voice all the positive and negative things about the last month, and then discuss them as a team.

Working with an experienced team is a massive opportunity for learning in and of itself. Every piece of work that gets reviewed, and every conversation is an opportunity for learning. But on-top of this, we have regular lunch-and-learns to spread knowledge amongst the team, and an annual budget for courses/professional development.

Senior management encourage team members to contribute to determining quarterly targets and team members are encouraged to suggest ideas in how we can achieve these. Regular check ins are provided for senior management to provide support, but in between those, I am left to organising my own work and liaising with stakeholders directly. Management actively encourage you to contribute ideas in both internal and external meetings, and recognition is always given where these ideas are successful.

Despite everyone having defined teams, you can seek support from anyone in the office. Conversation about your goals at work is always actively encouraged because you never know who might be able to provide insight or support. Socials are frequent, and attendance is encouraged!

Whilst office attendance is encouraged, there is always flexibility to determine how you best work. My manager has actively ensured I have the equipment at home to make working from anywhere as easy as possible.

Fantastic business, diverse staff and very supportive management team. We work with fantastic tech and our google rating speaks for itself. Our founders have a built a business that values every individual for who they are and what they specialize in. Overall a great place to be!
