Company mission

Bringing fair, quality care to underserved communities.

Our take

Increasingly, payment for medical services in the U.S. is being tied to the quality of care, shifting away from a volume-based, fee-for-service model. While almost certainly a good thing, some healthcare organisations are struggling to make the transition.

Yuvo Health is responding to that pressure on Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC) by providing them with administrative and managed-care contracting services.

The startup is planning on using its latest funding to expand its initial program with 4 FQHCs in downstate New York and start to execute plans to expand across New York, the Midwest and Mid-Atlantic regions in the near future.

To fulfil its ambitious vision, Yuvo will have to navigate a complex regulatory landscape while altering the workflows of a famously resistant-to-change sector. That’s no easy task, but the startup will be pleased with its impressive momentum and indirectly improving the lives of thousands of Americans as a result.
