Many companies in healthcare have tried to innovate by replacing doctors with AI or putting doctors on video (for example Babylon Health).
Zava is not doing this. Instead, patients fill in online questionnaires that simulate the in-person consultation. Patients still get responses from doctors and can request follow-ups. The benefit is that patients have more time to fill out their answers, and can do so when is convenient. This often results in more thorough and direct responses.
Access to medical care 7 days a week online and via phone and video consultations at a location of the patient’s choice, has proven extremely popular.
Zava has acquired Medlanes (a Berlin-based digital health startup) along with its network of more than 200 local GPs and specialists across Germany. Zava has also announced its partnership with the supermarket giant, Asda. This partnership and acquisition have strengthened Zava's position as the leader of telemedicine and since its launch has expanded across the UK, Germany, Ireland, and France.

Redefining European healthcare is not an easy fix, you can’t lift and shift a product and just translate it. I have been working from home and even post COVID am able to continue to do so, with the office being there if I want it. I can be flexible with my hours when I need to be (as long as I'm free within the core business hours). I don't have children myself, but a lot of people at ZAVA do and you can see how much this flexibility means to them.
