Our take
Zetta Genomics was spun out of Cambridge University with a vision to become the gold standard for genomic information in precision medicine.
Genomic data is notoriously challenging to work with due to reliance on data files that cannot scale, are difficult to access and provide no built-in way to integrate disparate data types. By providing a modern data stack, Zetta Genomics makes this data available to researchers and practitioners.
The company is now looking to switch from a managed services model to a more developed SaaS product. Their challenge will be to build on their XetaBase platform in a fashion that continues to protect the privacy of the data while making it accessible in a user-friendly SaaS product.
