Company mission

To change the way people read code and help them better understand their codebase.

Our take

Whilst it is an exciting time to be a developer, with a new generation of AI tools coming to the IDE, code search remains a manual and time consuming process. bloop was founded to help solve this problem, and to help make it seamless for developers to benefit from open-source code.

The company combines a code search and regex matching engine with precise code navigation, and an intelligent AI agent powered by GPT-4 and semantic code search. With it, developers can find code relevant code quickly, whether that be from library documentation or open-source repos, with snippets displayed in a sidebar for easy viewing.

With good funding at its back, the company has continued to pursue further features for the platform. It delivers product options for the individual through the the enterprise, and boasts a host of strong reviews - which should set it up for further success in the future.
