Berlin-based ecoworks tackles this challenge with smart, prefabricated building skins. Using AI and 3D scanning, the company identifies suitable buildings and designs energy-efficient facades featuring integrated insulation, windows, and renewable energy generation. Robotic manufacturing ensures quality and cost-effectiveness, while on-site construction is swift and minimises disruption for residents.
With substantial funding to its name, ecoworks is poised for rapid growth. It has plans to refine its software platform with enhanced cost prediction tools, and further integrate features into its prefabricated facades. Headcount expansion and geographical reach are also on the agenda, with a target of €1B in revenue within 3 years.
