Our take
The global renewable energy market is projected to reach almost $2 trillion by 2030. kWh Analytics is a climate insurance platform providing data-driven insurance solutions for clean energy transition.
The platform supports companies in minimizing risk and increasing equity returns as they work on their renewable energy portfolios. A more recent offering released by the company, “Solar Generation Advance”, was created in partnership with Excelsior Energy Capital and provides a second revenue stream for operating and new build projects.
A recently acquired funding round means kWh Analytics are looking to develop new tools to support its solar, wind and storage asset owners and investors. Funds will also be used to reach new international markets and revolutionize underwriting and pricing within the renewable energy insurance space, by leveraging world data. The company is setting itself apart with its focus on developing data-driven insurance for renewable energy, and it’ll be interesting to see how the company adapts as the market continues to grow.
