To create virtual workspaces with meaningful and frictionless human interaction at its heart.
Meetin is one of a flurry of companies that’s launched over recent years to cater to the rapid pivot towards remote work. With this trend expected to continue as companies build out hybrid teams, there’s a growing need for multi-feature collaboration platforms that combine video, audio, and other communication channels. That’s exactly what Meetin looks set to provide.
The company has yet to reveal its full feature suite, but its focus is not just on workplace collaboration. It’s looking to help foster what many employees are missing most about in-office interactions: a sense of company community. It may be well placed to do this: Meetin’s first iteration was as a virtual desktop platform for chess games, and served a vibrant London chess community with no small success.
This more holistic angle is a neat USP for a workplace collaboration platform - and Meetin will need all the competitive edge it can get. Rivals are plenty, from startups like Cosmos and Wurkr to larger workspace collaboration players like Monday and Asana. With Meetin still very much under wraps it’s difficult to see where it stands; but its community platform experience may give it a good headstart.
