Our take

Built for and catering to the African education system, uLesson is a learning app for students on the continent, aiming to supplement education and make learning more personally fulfilling and exciting for students.

Consisting of online tutoring and lesson plans, the app specifically serves the needs of African students, utilising an individualistic approach to learning. It offers a subscription package for home learning, as well as software and hardware for the classroom itself, with products including test quizzes, mock exam papers and educational video libraries. To date, the company has 5 million downloads and an impressive 14 million lessons watched through its software.

It’s a novel idea, and one that is positively impacting the lives of students across a continent underserved by the eduTech market. With plenty of funding behind it, uLesson’s future is looking very bright indeed.
