- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Programming, or a related accreditation
- 5-8+ years in a client-facing technical role (Solutions Engineer, Sales Engineer, Solutions Architect, Integration Engineer, Implementation Manager, Technical Account Manager, Customer Success Manager, or similar)
- 5+ years deep knowledge in blockchain, cryptocurrencies, financial services, banking, payments, and/or trading
- Prior experience in both pre-sales and/or post-sales capacities
- Proven ability to lead and manage client engagements and projects
- Experience collaborating with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) on RFIs, RFPs, and technical proposals
- Demonstrated understanding of technical subjects and concepts including web services and applications, PaaS, SaaS, APIs, and SDKs
- Development experience with Javascript, Typescript, Python, and other web-based technologies/stacks
- Exceptional professionalism – highly regarded by clients and colleagues
- Clear and effective verbal and written communication and comprehension
- Strong ability to self-manage and exercise professional judgment
- Must be proficient in English, written and spoken
What the job involves
- Our Solutions Engineering department works closely with prospective customers and current customers providing workshops and training in BitGo's products and services and guiding them through the technical journey from the sales process to onboarding. We are seeking a proven professional based in New York who will nurture relationships with our clients
- Lead technical and product demos through the pre and post sales cycles, driving technical workshops, solution architecture, implementation guidance, and presentations to Executive sponsors
- Manage continuous client relationships by understanding their business requirements, expectations, and technical support needs with understanding customer technical architecture
- Collaborate with Executive Directors, Product Management and Engineering Teams, contributing to the development of new product features
- Act as a client advocate, providing valuable feedback to internal teams
- Clearly communicate client requirements to the Sales Team for their sales calls
- Possess strong technical skills to explain APIs and create compelling technical demos
Our take
The digital asset industry is maturing, with asset companies looking to shore up their positions by adding secure custody capabilities. This is good news for BitGo, an independent, regulated cryptocurrency custodian company providing security, custody, and liquidity solutions.
BitGo’s flagship multi-signature wallet solution helps its clients mitigate risk and optimise capital efficiency. The company has subsequently expanded to also cover a number of areas that are critical for any holder of major crypto assets, like portfolio and tax management. In this, BitGo was smart to focus exclusively on institutional clients: there’s a huge appetite among larger players to expedite the mainstreaming of crypto, and they’ll need precisely BitGo’s tools to get there.
BitGo was in talks to be acquired by PayPal, and most recently, by Galaxy Digital, which speaks to a strong institutional confidence in the crypto wave. Despite a rocky 2024 for the digital assets (which now sees BitGo suing Galaxy Digital for pulling out of the acquisition deal), BitGo has manoeuvred itself into a central position to capitalise on what, now, seems a near-inevitable period of mass adoption.
Exemplifying this, the BitGo Ventures wing of the company was launched in 2024 to partner with and invest in cutting-edge blockchain and fintech startups, whilst the company saw revenue rocket to $4.19 billion in H1 2025. It completed an IPO bid in Q1 26, which is fitting considering its growth
