Who you are
- Experience in quota-carrying positions such as SDR or BDR
- Proficient in outreach methods including cold calling and emailing
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities
- Open to adopting new processes and ideas, with a focus on the bigger picture
- Highly motivated to learn, develop sales skills, and thrive in a fast-growing environment
- You are someone who easily builds positive relationships with your prospects / clients while also qualifying & engaging decision-makers for maximum effectiveness
- You have 3-5 years of corporate experience in a customer facing role, with 1-2 years in an SDR or Sales role at a B2B or technology company; experience in payments a plus
- You have experience with prospecting tools such as Salesforce, Salesloft, Aircall, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator
- You have full professional proficiency (written and verbal) in English

- You’ll be working with sales managers, marketing, and partnerships to create new business opportunities and deliver key insights on the payments sector to the business
- This role is extremely diverse requiring strong interpersonal skills, a self-starter mentality, an inquisitive and analytical mindset, project management skills and a great sense of humor
- Work as part of the North American Sales Development Team where you will leverage inbound and outbound campaigns to drive top of the funnel opportunities for the business
- Be the first point of contact for new business prospects and determine the next steps for each prospect moving forward
- Set sales-ready meetings for qualified opportunities
- Work as a strategic and operational partner for the sales, marketing, and partnership teams at Adyen
- Research verticals, companies, and prospects from the addressable market to identify potential opportunities and key decision-makers
- Think creatively on the best way to manage your pipeline and provide elite service to our prospects, your colleagues, and the Adyen global team
- Act as a brand ambassador for Adyen at internal and external company events
- Commit to continuous learning on the payments sector and Adyen product offerings

Our take
Adyen has been one of the most successful businesses in Europe over the last decade. When it went public in 2018 at a valuation of €7bn, it raised over €1bn and its share price popped on the first day, resulting in a valuation of €14bn. Its valuation has continued to climb by the billions.
Adyen competes with large players like PayPal, as well as outsized startups like Stripe, to power payments and provide other infrastructure to conduct digital transactions. Disrupters in the field have been buoyed by a strong rise in eCommerce activity, where some or all of a transaction by a customer is made either online or by mobile.
Adyen has been one of the companies riding the wave by helping to reduce the friction between a company choosing to take payments online, and actually being able to do it. That can take multiple steps and agreements across numerous countries — Adyen’s pitch is that it essentially handles all of it in the backend as a service for its users. Notable partners have included Autocanteen, a touchless self-checkout solution for the hospitality industry, and BILL, a small business-focused fintech platform.
