Role
Who you are
- You are in your master's in an engineering or business school
- You have a first successful internship/alternance experience in business development and export
- You are capable of working autonomously and take ownership
- You 💚 convincing people and are not afraid of a good challenge
- You have outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
- Obviously you have a strong interest in the food and plant-based field
- You are fluent in English and French. Any other European language is a big plus !

What the job involves
- As a true Sherlock Holmes🕵️♀️ you will search & find the right partners (distributors and food service customers) to develop our presence in Europe while applying La Vie’s business criteria
- You will manage distributors on a daily basis ; making sure they are clear on their business target and that they are on point to deliver them
- You are the internal interface of the distributors, making sure they have everything to deliver the target
- You will support the export manager on the daily management of all Export customers (retail & food service)
- You are responsible for the follow up of all inbound leads
- You are joining our adventure in a crucial phase with many career opportunities…The sky’s the limit!
- Contract Type: Apprenticeship (Between 12 and 24 months)

Our take
The Veganism boom came around the 2010s and is still very prevalent with a huge market for plant-based foods. La Vie is a Paris-based company that develops vegetable meats with five products so far. The company's passion for what it does came from the rise in intensive breeding, now amounting to 14.5% of today’s CO2 emissions, 27% land use and 77 billion animals left in pieces in 2021.
The company had a huge win at the end of 2022 announcing its partnership with Burger King. La Vie bacon was rolled out across all UK stores in line with Veganuary. This partnership is said to be ongoing as Burger King hopes to be 50% plant-based by 2030 which is a huge success for La Vie. The company also won ‘Best Plant-Based Bacon in the UK’ at the Plant Based World Expo for the second consecutive year as well as ‘Best Vegan Bacon’ at the PETA UK Vegan Food Awards.
The company raised 25 millions Euros at the beginning of 2022 from Angel Investors including Natalie Portman and raised further funding in 2024 from Zintinus and Sparkfood. In only a short time, the company has been highly successful and established some well-rooted relationships for its product. We’re excited to see where La Vie takes its plant-based love and fun aesthetic next.
