Senior UX Designer, Unanet

• 5+ years of experience designing enterprise web and mobile applications
• Direct experience across a range of intermediate design approaches and methodologies, from workshop facilitation, journey mapping, persona development, and similar activities
• A proven track record of delivering simple, intuitive experiences for complex, data-heavy user problems and delivering strategic business value across multiple product channels
• Must be adept at working in a matrix position where results must be achieved across various departments without line authority
• Experience with Agile development methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban)
• Expertise with design and prototyping tools, such as Figma as well as developing and maintaining component libraries
• Experience pivoting and navigating dynamic and changing situations

• Our growing User Experience Team is looking for a Senior UX Designer to join our efforts to bring a consumer-grade experience to Unanet’s enterprise platforms

• Gain a deep familiarity with the industry, our business, competitors, customers, and the employees who use our software to complete their daily tasks
• Lead research with the product managers and development team leads
• Engage our user research panel, Unanet First Look, as well as collaborate with our internal subject matter experts to understand and define the problems, personas, and experiences of the end users
• Work with the Director of User Experience to drive innovative UX strategies based on discoveries from your user research activities
• Collaborate with product managers, development team leads, customers, and internal stakeholders to introduce, iterate, and clarify requirements
• Through both independent and collaborative design methods, create low and high-fidelity ideations of possible design solutions
• Translate complex product requirements into simple, intuitive user flows
• Take a data-driven approach to influence visual and interaction design decisions
• Validate solutions, solve problems and meet user needs through usability testing
• Oversee the maintenance and application of visual design standards
• Work with the Product Manager to define success metrics that drive desired business and UX outcomes
• Collaborate with other UX designers to refine design system components
• Present discovery, ideas, designs, and best practices to successfully convince, motivate, and inspire teams and gain buy-in for UX strategies
• Navigate conflict resolution using empathy, data, and comprise to progress projects forward
• Drive overall UX maturity of the organization by coaching and collaborating with other UX designers on the team
• Champion prioritization of design centered product enhancements grounded in research and analysis
• Advocate for user-focused design, representing the voice of Unanet users throughout the design process
• In your First 30 Days, your focus will be on understanding current products and users
• You will utilize the learning platform, knowledge base, and marketing collateral for specific product training on both industry and the first product initiatives on which you will focus
• You will meet with internal stakeholders to begin building those relationships and learn from their experience as well
• You will work directly with the Director of User Experience to become familiar with our current processes including the user research backlog, research and design processes, and early adopter programs
• In Days 30 – 60, you will be taking ownership of a long-term UX strategy to modernize timesheet, expense, and approval workflows focusing on reducing friction of current processes and building accessibility as a standard
• You will collaborate with internal stakeholders to drive continuous discovery starting with planning and recruiting for the beta program
• You will work closely with a product manager to groom user stories, user flows, and high-fidelity concepts
• In Days 60 – 90, you will derive feedback from the early beta concepts and influence the next steps along with your product manager
• This will include outlining next steps and gaining buy-in from the Product, Engineering, and UX leaders in the organization
