Company mission
To help brands grow without giving up control.
Role
Who you are
- Research shows that while men apply to jobs when they meet 60% of the requirements, women and those in underrepresented groups tend to only apply when they tick every box. We don’t think you should have to tick every box. We value your uniqueness, and it goes without saying that all applications are welcome, even if you don’t think you fit the criteria
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a generalist People/HR role, comfortable owning the full employee lifecycle from onboarding through to offboarding
- Confidence in advising and coaching managers through performance, development, and employee relations conversations
- Experience turning people data into insights that managers can actually act on
- A hands-on, organised approach equally happy managing office facilities and hosting as you are supporting a sensitive people conversation
- Based within easy reach of London with the flexibility to be in the Workhub one to two days a week
What the job involves
- As a result of our incredible success and growth, we are looking for a People Advisor to join us
- Own the end-to-end new starter and leaver experience for your departments including inductions, IT set-up, probation tracking, exit interviews, and accurate people admin and payroll inputs throughout
- Advise managers on performance and employee relations, driving quarterly performance scoring, coaching PIPs and stretch plans and escalating formal matters to the CPO
- Build manager capability through coaching, refresher training, and development planning, and contribute to departmental competency and resourcing plans
- Turn people data into insight and action for your departments by coordinating pulse surveys, producing monthly Dept Decks, monitoring absence and engagement, and finding ways to automate and improve People workflows along the way
- Run the London office as its on-site lead, keeping the space safe, secure, and well hosted — from facilities and health & safety to bookings, events, and day-to-day operations

Our take
Founded as Student Beans in 2005, Pion is a marketing company that helps brands expand their customer base and enhance sales. It specialises in helping clients build trust and relevancy among students and Gen Z, as well as other strategic consumer groups.
Pion's solutions deliver insights, advertising and customer verification. This enables clients to make informed business decisions, deliver engaging campaigns and grow sales through gated offers. This cohesive approach, within a niche consumer target group, is certainly the stand-out feature of the company.
The company's rebrand to Pion came alongside an expansion beyond just the student market to encompass youth markets in general. This enables it to consolidate its diverse portfolio of services and continue its path of growth, which has already seen it become a prominent player in the space.
