What the job involves
- The Executive Assistant (EA) will be responsible for supporting the Chief Technology Officer and Cloud Engineering Team.
- This role requires a dynamic, highly adaptable individual who can flex their approach based on the needs of each executive.
- The EA must proactively anticipate needs, seamlessly manage priorities, and ensure the efficiency of their executives’ calendars and schedules across multiple locations (San Francisco, South Bay, and Dublin, Ireland)
- Success in this role requires professionalism, strong organizational skills, and the ability to navigate diverse working styles.
- The EA must balance proactive planning with adaptability, manage complex calendars, and ensure team alignment.
- Beyond logistics, this role supports Crusoe’s culture and mission, contributing to the company’s efficiency as a trusted partner and positive force for the executive team
- As the Executive Assistant, you will be required to work on-site five days per week.
- You will collaborate closely with the Executive Assistants supporting other executives and the Workplace Managers.
- As the organization evolves, your responsibilities may shift to support different functions as needed.
- In this role, you will leverage your experience to support Cloud Engineering leadership, working closely with the senior leadership team to deliver on our goal of making Crusoe the world’s favorite AI Cloud
- This is a full-time, in-office position based in South Bay
- Provide quality, timely, and detailed administrative support to Crusoe Engineering/ IT leadership, including managing a complex calendar of appointments, processing expense reports, composing and preparing confidential correspondence, arranging travel, and ensuring stakeholder awareness in support of these activities
- Manage and support calendar coordination for Leadership’s direct reports, ensuring alignment across team, cross-functional, and external meetings
- Thoughtfully manage scheduling requests to ensure effective time management for executives
- Improve internal and occasional external meeting effectiveness by gathering and tracking key discussion topics, decisions, and action items to develop agendas, document meeting notes, and ensure follow-through
- Identify, design, and implement new processes and solutions to improve team collaboration, efficiency, productivity, and communication
- Work closely with other EAs and Workplace Managers to coordinate corporate travel, conference registrations, and office/company-wide events and activities
- Perform occasional personal tasks and errands for leadership as needed
- Handle other clerical or administrative duties as assigned
- Be accessible and available during the traditional workweek, with occasional flexibility outside standard hours for urgent matters
Our take
Crusoe is tackling one of the biggest challenges facing the digital age: the enormous energy demand of data centres and AI infrastructure. As AI models grow more powerful, they require immense computing power (and therefor electricity) to train and operate. This surge in energy use has put some pressure on power grids, driven up costs, and raised environmental concerns. Crusoe is on a mission to make this process more sustainable by finding smarter, cleaner, and more efficient ways to power the data centres that drive modern computing.
The company started out by putting wasted energy to work. Originally known as Crusoe Energy, it captured natural gas that would otherwise be burned off ("flared") at remote oil sites and used it to power modular data centres. Today, Crusoe has evolved into a major player in AI infrastructure, designing and operating large-scale data centres near renewable or stranded energy sources. It's now one of a handful of "neocloud" companies (next-generation cloud providers focused on flexible, efficient computing for AI workloads). And its facilities are helping tech giants like OpenAI handle the massive computing requirements of training advanced AI models.
Recently, Crusoe has attracted some huge investor attention, tripling its valuation to over $10B and raising $1.4B in its latest funding round. It's building OpenAI's first major US data centre campus and even experimenting with bold new frontiers. In partnership with Starcloud, Crusoe plans to deploy the world's first space-based cloud computing infrastructure, powered by solar energy and orbiting the Earth by 2027. If successful, this could redefine how and where computing happens, opening up a cleaner, virtually limitless source of energy for AI's next generation.
