• Zeta Global is seeking a hands-on Senior Engineering Manager to lead the Loyalty product that powers the Zeta Marketing Platform (ZMP)
• Reporting to Sr. Director, Engineering, this leader will own the technical execution, architecture, roadmap, and delivery for one or more core loyalty features. The role requires strong technical judgment, exceptional engineering leadership, and the ability to drive complex initiatives across multiple engineering teams
• Zeta Loyalty helps brands move beyond static loyalty programs with intelligent experiences designed to deepen engagement. The next gen Zeta Loyalty platform is envisioned to be AI-powered and agentic
• This is a technical leadership role. The Senior Engineering Manager is expected to remain actively involved in architecture, design reviews, technical decision-making, and production operations while developing engineers and technical leads and delivering reliable Loyalty product capabilities at scale
• Zeta Loyalty provides a configurable program definition, member foundation, reference data, rules engine, and offer capabilities required to launch enterprise grade loyalty programs
• Rather than simply managing points, this product creates a flexible loyalty platform that enables brands to define their program, reward customer behaviors, and evolve their loyalty strategy without requiring custom engineering
• The key mission of the product is tightly integrating with other services of the ZMP, such as identity, events, messaging and seamlessly executing the loyalty program rules based on user behavior
• Additionally, there is an urgent need to integrate Loyalty with AthenaOS, Zeta’s AI-powered assistant, to bring predictive intelligence, real-time activation, conversational AI into the loyalty domain
• Own the complete Loyalty product suite, which includes, but not limited to:
• Customizable loyalty programs
• Configurable reward rules
• Flexible tiering structure
• Reward points tracking
• Tight Integration with system notification & user messaging frameworks
• Omnichannel support
• Unified ZMP Identity
• Unified ZMP Analytics
• The Senior Engineering Manager is accountable for the architecture, implementation, operational excellence, observability, monitoring & reliability of the owned products
• Technical Leadership:
• Lead the architecture and technical direction for assigned domains
• Translate product strategy into executable engineering roadmaps
• Participate in quarterly planning and deliver the workloads on a timely manner, with high quality
• Drive technical design for services, APIs, schemas, background jobs
• Review designs and ensure alignment with platform architecture and engineering standards
• Identify scalability, reliability, security, and maintainability risks
• Champion reusable solutions and eliminate unnecessary duplication across different features
• Engineering Leadership:
• Build and lead a high-performing team of engineers and technical leads
• Coach and develop engineers through mentoring, technical guidance, and regular feedback
• Establish clear ownership, accountability, and engineering best practices within the team
• Foster a culture of operational excellence, engineering quality, and continuous improvement
• Balance new investments with operational responsibilities and technical debt
• Work with other engineering teams to transform the Loyalty product into a seamlessly integrated ZMP offering
• Cross-Team Collaboration:
• Partner with Product and Engineering teams, Architecture, SRE, DevOps, Security, and FinOps teams
• Coordinate delivery of initiatives that span multiple engineering teams
• Resolve technical dependencies and implementation challenges
• Drive alignment around platform standards and engineering best practices
• Communicate technical trade-offs, priorities, and delivery risks clearly
• Reliability, Security, and Operational Excellence:
• Ensure the product services & components meet availability, latency, scalability, and recovery objectives
• Embed observability, monitoring, capacity planning, and operational readiness into platform design
• Improve tenant isolation, workload fairness, and platform resiliency
• Partner with Security teams to build secure-by-default platform capabilities
• Drive continuous improvements in operational efficiency, reliability, and cloud cost optimization
• Success will be measured through:
