Who you are
- 5-7+ years of full-cycle sales experience in a hunting role or a founding role of a fast paced technology company
- Ownership mentality within all aspects of your work
- Demonstrable track record of above target performance, especially in a startup environment
- Experience selling a first-to-market solution is preferred
- Experience selling six-to-seven figure deals is encouraged

What the job involves
- As a Senior Account Executive, you will be setting out to drive new business for Checkr Trust by providing trust and safety solutions to companies and communities
- By working across all account segments you will exhibit an owners mentality that will have you working across all stages of a deal cycle
- You will be an important part of an elite, professional, and rapidly growing cross-functional team that succeeds through collaboration, grit, and learning
- This is an exciting, emerging market, and Checkr has a big head start. Checkr Trust, born from our CheckrX incubator, has seen promising early success
- It reimagines how people data can help solve problems, and it already supports leading online marketplaces, dating, entry management, physical security, and home sharing platforms
- You will build a GTM strategy for your territory, constantly experimenting, pivoting and have a resiliency regardless of the obstacles faced
- Engage trust & safety professionals to pursue and close new business within your target verticals
- Use creativity for pipeline generation, finding your customers where they are
- Handle inbound leads that come through our demand generation and channel partners
- You will consistently achieve revenue targets by applying modern sales techniques and processes to efficiently manage sales opportunities through your funnel to a successful close
- You will use your creativity and tenacity to develop and improve how we target and penetrate new vertical markets
- You will be a go-getter, resilient, create processes and have a growth mindset
- As part of the Checkr Trust team, you will contribute directly to the success and growth of Checkr
Our take
Checkr addresses the unpleasant and time consuming process of background checks so that companies using on-demand employees can make safer, more informed hiring decisions in less time. Background checks are a critical part of the hiring process, and CEO Daniel Yannisse noticed that they were painfully slow, resulting in loss of work for candidates and productivity downturns for employers.
Before Checkr entered the market in 2014 with its innovative AI technology and a solid $50m in venture capital funding, companies were waiting upwards of two weeks for their checks. Checkr substantially reduces this time frame and has grown to receive a $5 billion valuation.
Checkr has accelerated growth by making several highly advantageous acquisitions of competitor companies GoodHire and Inflection. As the world of work embraces diversity and inclusion, the company announced an end-to-end service for candidates wishing to expunge their criminal records, furthering the company’s ‘fair chance’ mission and clearing 1000s of candidates for free since 2021. New products launched at the end of 2023 include Checkr Pay (providing access to payment right after a shift) and Checkr Onboard (unified onboarding processes), exemplifying how Checkr is keeping pace with a rapidly changing, flexible, and mobile-first workforce.
